How Do You Know if You Need Help with Your Baby's Sleep?
It can be hard to know if the sleep your dealing with is "normal" or if it's time to help your baby or toddler learn healthier sleep habits. When considering whether it's time for help, ask yourself these questions:
- Is your baby or toddler fighting bedtime or nap time - sometimes seemingly for hours on end?
- Are they waking frequently at night? Needing to be helped back to sleep? Or walked back to their room?
- Are they taking short or inconsistent naps? Suddenly fighting naps altogether?
- Are they waking extra early in the morning and you can't get them back down no matter what you try?
- Are they fussy or cranky throughout the day? Do they crash after daycare or school?
- Are YOU having trouble functioning on the sleep you're getting?
- Are you co-sleeping out of desperation - instead of desire?
- Do you dread going to sleep because you never know when you'll be woken up?
